What to do in Copenhagen in Spring: My Personal Bucket List

It’s spring, my second favourite season (summer baby for life!) and it’s pretty obvious why. Trees and plants have started flowering and blooming once again, people are out in the streets again, smiling and best of all? There’s LIGHT!!!!!!!!! The sun is shining and my mood is already 10 times lighter. Couldn’t be happier. Though, NGL, it’s still freezing cold – play with those negative temperatures at night if you want to – but at least I can throw on a pair of sunnies and look cute whilst wrapped up in a scarf. Love it!

January and February this year were a real struggle for me. Being honest, the year only really just got started for me a couple of weeks ago. But now? I’m ready to go! And to get me on my way, I decided to do what I do best – make a list of things I want to do, in this case during the spring. Because let’s be real – if I don’t have a list of things to check off, did I actually do them? Did it really happen?? Come on.

Things I want to do this spring in Copenhagen:

  • Experience the cherry blossoms – My fave spots for cherry blossom sightings are Langelinie Park (the Sakura Festival) and Frederiksberg Gardens. If you’re feeling bold (and not too creeped out or superstitious), you can also try Assistens Kirkegård or Bispebjerg Kirkegård- both cemeteries!
  • Watch the cows dance as they get let out to pasture on Økodag which this year is 13 April 2025 (Yes cows dancing, it’s a thing. Sounds crazy, but trust me, you need to see it!)
  • Enjoy streetfood, music and vibes at Reffen – The season has officially opened!
  • Get some more sauna sessions in – Or winterbathing or whatever you want to call it. It’s really growing on me.
  • Tivoli. The gardens open on 4 April 2025 and I for one cannot wait! – CLICK HERE for my Tivoli experience and also my Tivoli Friheden (Aarhus) experience
  • Walks, walks and more walks. Time to soak up the sunshine in Copenhagen’s gorgeous parks
  • Brunch Because seriously is it even me if there is no brunch planned? Ka-mon! Check out my Copenhagen Brunch Guide so you can get to planning your own supreme Copenhagen brunch experience!

Definitely an achievable one if I do say so myself. What about you guys? What’s on your spring to do list?
