I recently read this article on self-care practices to implement in 2020 and it got me thinking on what self-care practices I needed to implement in my life. I’ve just shared my Intentions for 2020 and in the same spirit, inspired by the article, I came up with my own 20 strong list. Here’s what I came up with:
- Dance everyday for at least 10 minutes
- Pray at least twice daily – in the morning when I wake up to say thank you to Jesus for the gift of life and the day ahead and in the evening before I go to sleep to say thank you to Jesus for the gift of life and the day just gone
- Read my Bible and devotional daily
- Exercise at least once a week
- Talk to a member of my family once a week
- Brunch regularly
- Read for 30 minutes a day
- Take an annual solo vacation
- Purge my wardrobe
- Not replace the items purged (unless absolutely necessary!)
- Create content without pressure or anxiety
- Wash my hair weekly
- Tell my loved ones I love them regularly
- Use breathing exercises when I feel anxious
- Host my friends
- Create a life budget and stick to it!
- Drink water (ugh!) and eat my fruits and veggies
- Use a facial mask at least once weekly
- Sleep for at least 6 hours unbroken
- Have a good laugh at least once a day – talking to my sister usually takes care of that
