I did my first Empties post (click HERE to read it) last year and I enjoyed it so much, I’m doing it again but this time for the period of 2018. That’s right, I’ve been collecting products over the course of this year so I could give you a fuller picture of what features in my beauty arsenal. The list is long (actually not even the full list if I’m honest!) so I have split the list of empties into 2 posts. Here is the first – perfumes, hair and makeup. Skincare will follow in the next post. Have at it!
Hermes 24 Faubourg – This One though. A strong mature floral scent that at first I felt was too much for me but over time I grew to love and became part of my identity. If I can find it, it’s definitely going home with me.
Guerlain Idylle – It was instant love with this fragrance. Every time I smell it, it’s a swoon moment for me. It’s not too overpowering but lingers in a nice way and draws the right type of compliment. I’ve #alreadyrepurchased and will continue to do so as long as Guerlain continues to produce it.
Burberry Brit Sheer – A light summer fragrance which took some getting used to but was great for the long summer months. Don’t think I will re-purchase but I did enjoy while it lasted.
Nina Ricci Les delices de Nina – This packs quite a kick when you first smell it but it’s a lovely, spunky fragrance that puts you in the mood for spring and summer parties. I really enjoyed the ride with this fragrance and was very sad to see the last drops go. Don’t think I will repurchase though.
SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen, Grow and Restore Leave in Conditioner – This was a Godsend for my hair especially at the beginning of the year during the cold dry winter months and whilst Grace was still too short to do anything but moisturise and let live. #Already repurchased.
Cantu Coil Calm Detangler – I don’t think I actually used this for the purpose for which it was intended because I used it as a moisture spray for my hair whilst it was in braids. Maybe I will give it a whirl again once I start wearing my hair out again. Maybe…
IC Fantasia Hair Polisher Olive Styling Gel – This gel was bought a couple of years ago when I was still trying to do wash and gos on my hair. Grace was never a fan of the wash and go so after a few fails, I just would use it for my edges. Also a fail on that front so issano on the repurchase front for me.
BareMinerals Prime Time Primer – This Primer though. Absolutely love it. It’s so amazing, doesn’t ball up and does the job perfectly. My makeup does not move when I use it and keeps me shine free. I love it (I already said that!). As soon as I find it, it’ll be an #immediaterepurchase
BareMinerals Complexion Rescue – This BB cream has been an absolute saviour for my skin. It’s a tinted moisturiser so perfect for the summer months when you don’t want to pack on makeup and also contains SPF30 so protects the skin whilst hydrating it. I normally use Chestnut 09 and in the summer months Sienna 10 when I get a bit of extra colour ha!
Bourjois Volume Clubbing Mascara – This mascara is so good, I refused to stop using it until it fully FULLY dried up haha! It’s great for voluminous lashes and stretching them for extra length. It helped separate my super curly lashes and almost no mascara has achieved that. I’m definitely a fan and I will be repurchasing in the future…just as soon as I finish my other mascaras that are in my current arsenal.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz – I never thought eyebrows were a big deal and then I was introduced to this product and it changed my view completely. This is a great product and I really liked it. The only reason why I won’t repurchase is because I’m a klutz and dropped it and broke off the brush part so I bought the brow pencil and brush separately. But I definitely recommend it.
Maybelline Babylips Peach Kiss – This is an absolute favourite of mine and another featured in my last Empties post. I couldn’t find the Peach Kiss flavour but the Cherry Me flavour is even better so you’re welcome ;p
