I mentioned in my last post that I snuck off back to London after returning to snow after Easter. Well, I guess God saw my misery and decided to give His baby a little sun. As I drove back from the airport to the city, I felt like I was in shock. Aarhus was a transformed city. Everyone was outside. Sunglasses galore. No jackets in sight (though many a scarf was on hand!). People sitting outside in cafes. Music in the streets. Picnics in the park. All because of a little sun. I loved every single moment of it. Still very thankful for it. Even if it was back to grey skies and cold winds the next day. It was like a glimpse into what summer will be like in Aarhus. And you know what? I can’t wait!
Spring is finally here, and Aarhus has finally proved to me that it has more than one season. Thank goodness! Here’s hoping that this will soon allow for a bit more variety to my wardrobe. I can’t wait to consign my jumpers and coats to the “Winter Wardrobe” storage. Fingers crossed!
