A brunch invitation at the German Consulate brought with it the added opportunity to view the Olu Amoda sculpture installation on the grounds. Olu Amoda is an internationally celebrated Nigerian sculptor, who has exhibited his work all over the world and it’s easy to understand the hype when you see his pieces. The exhibition at the German Consulate is well worth a visit; some of the pieces are mindblowing when you think of the skill and intricacy involved in their creation. Please note that the exhibit is by appointment only, so do make sure to book and get a look in! 
Olu Amoda’s “Around and Abound the Green Line” sculpture and installation is on until 28 February 2016 at the German Consulate in Lagos at 15 Walter Carrington Crescent, Victoria Island, Lagos. Admission – free.
